The Herb Garden

Under the canopy of ancient Pecan trees, Carya illinoinensis, adjacent to the Inn Building is the formal Herb Garden. Planted by the Fearrington family in the 1930s, these symmetrical, wide-spreading trees create a beautiful site for outdoor weddings. A River of Spring Cheer

Last fall Fearrington gardener Ryan Cadwalader planted 1,250 muscari bulbs (or grape hyacinth) in a river pattern in front of the Fearrington House Restaurant, the blue flowers representing water. This clever installation is now in full bloom and will cheer up your most overcast day!
