Gilda McDaniel -
Special Events Manager
A graduate
of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Gilda has been
at Fearrington for 18 years, first working in McIntyre's, then
managing The Market Café (the predecessor to The Old Granary) before
becoming our wedding planner over 10 years ago. Gilda's extensive
community involvement includes her former role as President of the
board of Chatham County Arts Council.

Cheryl
Jansen van Rensburg - Weddings, Special Events & Catering
Originally from South Africa, Cheryl graduated in 2003 from the
Institute of Culinary Art at Speir in Stellenbosch. She worked in
the kitchens of the renowned Conran Restaurant Group in the UK for 2
years before coming to The Fearrington House Restaurant in 2006.
After gaining valuable experience in Fearrington's kitchens, Cheryl
joined the Wedding & Special Events team in 2009.

Mary
Stevens - Floral Designer
Originally from the Philadelphia area, Mary was surrounded by a
large family of avid gardeners which started her interest of all
things natural at an early age. She has been creating floral
displays exclusively for Fearrington weddings since 2001. Mary and
her team of talented artists work with each couple to create a one
of a kind experience for each celebration.

Heather
Yurkanin - Catering Manager
Heather moved to North Carolina in 2006 after receiving a Bachelors
Degree in Hotel, Resort, Tourism Management from Paul Smith’s
College located in upstate New York. Initially part of the
Corporate Sales Team at Fearrington, Heather is now responsible for
managing all catered functions at Fearrington.

Colin
Bedford
- Fearrington House Executive Chef
A native of England, Colin came to the The Fearrington House in 2005
as Executive Sous Chef. Colin's culinary interest began at an early
age, later taking him to The Castle Hotel, Niagara on The Lake, and
the Prince of Wales Hotel. Colin continues the Fearrington House's
commitment to "Farm-to-Table" cuisine, maintaining partnerships with
local farmers and utilizing the finest produce in the region and in
our gardens.

Sean
Fowler - Head Catering Chef
Sean, a North Carolina native, has a BA in History from
Washington & Lee University and a degree in Culinary Arts from
Johnson and Wales University. He joined Fearrington in 2005
after working at the Inn at Erlowest in upstate New York and the
Alpenhof Lodge in Jackson, Wyoming. He became the Head Catering Chef
in 2009 and is now responsible for the culinary operations for
special events at Fearrington.

Jill
Leckey - Chocolatiere & Cake Designer
Jill joined the Fearrington House in 2005 as Chocolatiere
following training at The French Culinary Institute and the famed
Jacques Torres Chocolate Shop in New York City. In 2009, she
took charge of cake design for weddings and special events at
Fearrington as well. Her beautiful dessert creations and decadent hand-crafted chocolates are available at The Belted Goat
in
the Village Center.
